I really wished they would go Pred again, without Aliens. I love Aliens, my favourites, but a third Predator... That's the only sequel that has any chance to be desent.

you must have had a interesting weekend. I did. ....*not hiding, I take it like a woman* (+) I really wished they would go Pred again, without Aliens. I love Aliens, my favourites, but a third Predator... I'm with you on this. There is a great Idea for the third Predator in the 'next actor to become prey' topic. Would be the perfect Predator 3. I'm thinking it has the ingredients to rival that of the original Predator flick.

Sequel to A:R or AvP-R... what's the difference?
A:R was a fucking masterpiece compared to AVP-R.

Wow, really another. I was really looking forward to Requiem before it came out, then actually came out, didn't really think much of it apart from that I liked it better than the first, I mean it had some fight scenes but I'm not in any hurry to see a sequel to it. It doesn't deserve one in my opinion. Oh and fuck FOX. 100% agree. Im meh about this....but i'll see it. I cant help it. If it looks REALLY shitty, I wont pay for it.

Oh piss and shit on me. Personally, I'd like to see the "Alien 5," that James Cameron was developing before Fox went with AVP instead, and the "Predator 3," set on the 17th century whaling ship, (like in Dracula...remember the part on the ship? Imagine that, but with Predators)!

I think we've all known this was a certainty for a long time now. Therefore I'm taking the wait and see stance. I want to like these films, I really do. I think I showed that the entire time leading up to the AVP-R release, which I still don't think is the train wreck everyone makes it out to be, but hey, that's just me. What I do know is that these films are probably all we'll get in terms of new Alien or Predator films, so I'm going to try and enjoy them as much as possible.
What I am surprised at is how quickly after the release of AVP-R that a third film is being "confirmed". But then again, this report is hardly an official announcement. To that end I'm also going to wait and see what unfolds before getting too excited.

Maybe if they shipwreck on an island after about half an hour. I also didn't really like the gladiator idea...because we'd see so much of the Predators, probably having them communicate with humans, etc. It would be interesting for sure...but I dunno.

AVP - The Teen Years
As I understand it this once will actually go back in time to see what started the struggle between the Aliens and Predators. It apparently will take place on the Predator's home world. The plot will take place a week before the Predator's prom. Apparently one of the Predators wants to take an Alien to the prom. A whole bunch of species issues result. Things get worse and the whole thing turns into an intergalactic war between the two.
The real issues have never been explored as to what set off the fight between these two species. Now we will know the truth.
The scary thing is that if someone from Fox reads this they might like the idea. Hell they though AVPR was a good idea!
But I guess there is still room in their asses for their heads. They'll just shove them deeper.

Fox marketing just told me quote "there is nothing currently in the works" in reply to a query regarding AVP 3.
Good chance this report from ShockTilYouDrop is someone at Fox with a big mouth who's coming to the same conclusion we all came to before AVP-R was even released - there will eventually be a third AVP film.

I look forward towards a third and final AVP movie. It's too bad most of you have already condemned this next movie.

Great news Hicks! Now I hope we won't hear of a new avp for at least a year,, then I will be hopeful that they'll take a little bit of a different route again with the next one.
What makes you sure that the next avp would be the final one HBK? If it turns out to be as profitable as AVP:R, they'll keep on making them. After the dvds they'll have gained a moderate profit from a pretty "small" investment.

Just knowing that Fox themselves really doesn't care about the actual film but just the quick cash they get from the fanboys then it condemns itself. If you fill the engine of your car with shit it won't run. No butts about it. Same difference. They don't care and it shows. It is all a bottom line with them. Nothing else. Quality is not a concern.
