The Captain of the Arrowhead is a woman. Movies do get altered from the original script treatment, perhaps they've skewed everything to put a greater emphasis on her. Unless the two guys are actually gonna be two women (Ripley wasn't originally a woman - that choice came during casting)?

How is it looking genuine? Cos it's got Space Jockies in? Riddles has been saying that for years.
"And were the aliens designed as a form of biological warfare? Or biology that would actually go in and clean up a planet?" The latter bit here. The script dealt with the space jockeys as terraformers using the aliens for this. Hopefully he hasn't got alien ants running around.

Well, it's a horrid fear. It's just looking more and more like it, but let's hope it's just a bit of a coincidence that he's talking about aliens doing the clean up work and so was that script.

The guy who wrote it supposedly claimed he wanted to garner attention for the screenplay; if he was half a fan he would've done his homework, seen the shit Ridley had been talking about since '79, and worked those elements into his screenplay. Given Scott's been fairly consistent with his core ideas for the Jockeys and extra movies, it shouldn't be surprising that the script would have similarities, especially considering the dude put the effort into 100-odd pages of script in the first place.

I haven't heard who the author is... can someone tell me who is writing th script for the first movie, at least?
Anyway, what i don't understand is why some people are so hesitant and/or pessimistic towards Alien Prequels. There is clearly a vast store of content from which someone could pluck a decent story from. And I mean, there have been so many people I have met and talked to who have said they would love to see a movie about the spacejockeys. It is probably one of the biggest mysteries in the Alien franchise, besides "why in the fuck did they make Alien Resurrection?". These movies are, supposedly, going to look at how that derelict got onto LV-426...I've wanted to know that for the longest time. And if either of the prequel films give any hints whatsoever as to the origins of the xenomorphs (homeworld or biological weapon) then I will be one happy man.
AND ITS RIDLEY FUCKING SCOTT FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!! WHO BETTER??? (besides perhaps James Cameron)

Well, all Scott has talked about since 1979, once it was established that the derelict was a vessel carrying the spores, the derelict was possible a freighter with the jockey carrying it's own young or a battlewagon carrying biological weapons and then it appeared that Scott favoured the direction of an ancient war, that the alien was somehow a biological weapon and that the Space Jockey's had been to earth before and had been remembered as gods of war and the aliens were what we as a human civilisation remembered as demons in some way. So if I remember correctly, Ridley had thoughts about the space jockey's ships dropping the spores like bombs. But Ridley never got around to the idea of Space jockeys becoming terraformers before and the aliens themselves being the creatures that go in to clean up the planet, this last thing is a new development for Ridley, although the idea of space jockeys terraforming a planet seems to be out of the Dark Horse comicbooks, I don't remember though what the aliens did to the Earth in that story where the space jockey and his ship threatening earth is blown up, but I'm reading online the "Aliens: Apocalypse" story does have the aliens 3.6 billion years earlier wiping out life on earth and that would be as if they were left to "clean up the planet". Maybe Ridley has been doing nothing more than showing knowledge of the comicbook plots in conversation about the possible Alien plot
