The Jockey was Julian's actually. I was right after him.
Ahh, sorry about that I had you and Julian mixed-up in my head. ...I love the egg sake set! Brilliant! Nice find! I'll admit to those who don't know, that I'm the one in the documentary wearing a pyramid on my head
That was a nice touch. BTW. Very Dali... speaking of him and surrealism. Dennis - I neglected to mention this before but I love the closing sequence... I just watched it again and noticed Jones singing... disturbing! Overall I love the closing bit! Some great imagery there.

I had a feeling it was related to that or the fact that animating a tail can be a royal pain in the ass... especially if it's being key-framed.
And also when I'm pushed for time I do have the tendency to become a 'butcher' and trim away anything that gets in the way.

I had a feeling that was Sean Kennedy's Space Jockey! Sean and I frequent a few of the same CG forums. His work on that model is mind boggling! Nice to see it in action (as it were).

Some great imagery there. It was really a way of trying to connect the Weylan Yutani approach (bulldozing it's way regardless of morals) with todays contemporary mega companies.

It's not going to get better as I get older either!
well, I suppose the audience will just have to enjoy the confusion of it all, the endless sea of things that were once meant to be and soon were lost in time

I believe that's how myths are created too.

I liked the way the documentary ended with "Nothing's going to change my world", that's a wonderfully haunting song

I thought your section was very articulate Dominic especially that lovely description at the end that maybe one day you may well 'get it off your chest' - I'd love to have thought of that one myself.

I was in two minds to use the Psychedelic version that The Beatles did but bottled out as the version I used is the one that most people are accustomed to.

Yes, I agree -- I loved the two songs at the end playing it all out. The lip sync stuff was a very nice idea indeed, very cool. Some amazing props and conversation in general; a great insight into the minds of the fans. Nice to know I wasn't the only one suffering childhood nightmares when viewed at too young an age!
Great work, Dennis. Not to forget to mention the Giger doc - makes me want to reviist the museum sometime soon! Well done to all involved!!

Sean is a great guy! No ego there! A true inspiration. He's offed some excellent advice on my own work, and it's always much appreciated. ...He and I also share a love for Space:1999. BTW - if you ever want to do an S99 docu... I'd be more than happy to help out. I've built some CG models that you could use: Stun Gun, Commlock, and I'm tinkering with an interior setting of Moonbase Alpha.

Thanks Andy, the ending was the first thing I attempted before anything else as I was pretty sure about how to cap it whereas 'Across the Universe' idea came right at the end of the edit.

I like the idea of being in the same documentary as Marc Caro too.
