Was just thinking.  Instead of starting another topic along the lines of "weren"t you sad when [name] died?" i was wondering if the death of Dillon or anyone else in the movie was kind of shocking.  Kevin"s death I find to be kind of tense because he is alive for a while after he is attacked.  And all that blood coming out of his mouth makes it more tense IMO.  Also, Boggs and Rains deaths are both really shocking I think, especially the shot of Rains" dead body, whith his head destrotyed and his eyes staring across the room. "

Rains death is cool "cos it off screen with all that pathetic whimpering.  It"s kinda like Lambert"s death in that you wonder "What the hell is it doing to him??"
 
Dillon"s was quite noble in that it was a sacrifice in keeping with the biblical theme.
 
Kevin"s was a bit clear in that he"d obviously been attacked in the throat.
 
As for Deezel, he wanks as high as any in Wome!! "

I think it"s interesting how Dutton has pretty much the exact same death in Mimic.

I dunno about being shocked that anybody died - how they die"s a different matter - but I was well shocked when Morse walked out at the end of the film!

Mimic and Alien? are very similar movies. Aside from the fact that they"re both horror movies about monsters killing people and the abovementioned Charles S. Dutton deaths, the settings look alike, the camerawork is similar and there is the religious allegory in both flicks. Not to mention the shots of a kid stepping in insect slime and a giant cockroach egg opening are very Alienesque.

It pissed me off so bad when he died in Resident Evil.  I was gripping my seat and every muscle tense because he was doing so well against that laser, and the guy is finally like "ok, disabled" or w/e and it"s too late.  He was no questions asked, the coolest guy in that movie, even after he was dead. "

Same Ones death in Resident Evil was so shocking I was really wanting that guy to make and then the lasers got him in the last second.  
Back to Alien 3 some people were saying this but did anyone get a shock when you saw Boggs get crabbed up by the alien, I really thought that Golic would get it but I was wrong. "

Clemens death is without a doubt the most bone chilling thing in the Assembly Cut. I love how the alien steps on the bed and you see from under it, and the close up of the alien before it strikes him down.

Didnt they added a few little scenes when Clemens dies like him the steping on the bed and that Golic was looking down at them. With a little diffrent music.
