I'm not sure if anyones mentioned this before, but I was reading the booklet that came with my Lawrence of Arabia DVD and the name that T.E. Lawrence used to try and keep out of the public's eye was Shaw.

After the motor cycle accident he was taken to the  Military Hospital at Bovington Camp were the staff were surprised to receive anxious enquires about Aircraftman Shaw from amongst others Winston Churchill.

I hope Prometheus isn't riddled with references like this. I enjoyed the Joseph Conrad themes and references in the Alien films, but I'm not too keen on Lawrence of Arabia references jumping around everywhere, I'd rather blank them out

I was proud to have him as a member here.

I was very honoured to have gone searching around the supermarkets for a little tub of Gentleman's Relish to send to him by post

Damon Lindelof: Si Shaw et Holloway formaient un tandem á la manière de la celui de "x-Files", Holloway serait le personnage sceptique, comme Scully, et Shaw , celle qui à l'instar de Mulder, a envie de croire

Googletranslated as
Damon Lindelof: If Shaw and Holloway formed a tandem in the manner of that of the "X-Files," Holloway's character would be skeptical as Scully, and Shaw, which like Mulder wants to believe

Den of Geek review of the 15-20 minutes of Prometheus preview footage.

Well worth a read - some interesting stuff. For example:

Oh heck, a thrill ride similar to Matrix!? For some reason I never really found the series interesting. I preferred eXistenZ .

Well, I dpn't necessarily see one thing connecting with the other, things don't always connect up the way they're said to, but for all I know you might be right, but I ultimately don't know either way.

Well yeah sure it's good for people to be able to see it, but not at the expense of pissing off Giger. We kind of owe him that much for designing our favorite monster...

Well, I can't imagine that Giger personally could really be that interested despite whatever seemed to have  happened when Dennis was asked by someone on Giger's end to take it down. That event still confuses me every day.
