So here in Aus we have 3 versions.
DVD - Comes with deleted scenes and alternate start/ending. That's it.
Blu-Ray/DVD Combo - Special lenticular cover and 7 hours of special features.
Blu-Ray 3D/2D Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital download combo - 7 hours of special features.
I'll be picking up the lenticular cover one.

So I have to buy the 4 disc 3D set, just to find out what the fuck they were thinking? Ugh.
Lol. Did you really fall for that "questions will be answered" shtick?! I'll be picking up the lenticular cover one.
I'll be waiting to see if netflix rents the extras DVD. And then I might put it at the bottom of my cue, around the #180 mark.

I think all the retail DVD has is 10 minutes of deleted scenes. DVD is such a dead format that I can't even find any news article detailing the specs on the fucker.

I'm not really sure DVD is dead if a DVD of Fright Night II goes for $100.

'Dead' was the wrong word. How about passé?

Well, I watched the 3 hour angry gods doc.
Its interesting, (more interesting then the movie IMO).
Speights might be an average or slightly above script writer at this moment in his career, but he seems like a nice guy.
He's got a good attitude and is tolerable to listen to at least, which cannot be said by any measure for damon "prometheus is a mashup" lindelof.
Its definitely a trove for someone who liked prometheus, but as someone who hated prometheus I'm conflicted.
Its obviously a mostly self congratulatory affair, which already makes it less interesting then an independent doc like "final cut" because nobody will ever admit any mistakes.
But its also an interesting document for the keen eye to notice where things kind of went wrong.
A lot of the initial concept art is better then what is eventually personally chosen by ridley (His creative "eye" isn't as good as it was IMO), and its interesting to see more than a few interviews where someone seems to look at the camera and say in so many words that there was nothing they could do.
One particular quote that I recall was something along the lines on how the people working on the film were such big Alien fans and revered it so much that they were not completely sold on some of ridleys choices, but ridley seemed to be the person least attached to the original movie because he "made" it.
Although of course ending that with, "but he made the right decision because he's a genius".
Good stuff for a prometheus fan, worth a watch for anyone else.

Seems like a lot of people didn't dig the Engineers being big white dudes, but there was no chance of talking Ridley out of it.

Deal alert! Amazon currently has the 4-disc Collector's Edition of Prometheus for 14.99.
They also have the Alien Anthology for 19.99. Who knows how long these deals will last, so don't sit on that fence too long.

Looking around Amazon and Ebay I find I can pick up Blu-Ray movies at knock-down prices most of the time.
