The Prestige (2006)
« on: July 26, 2006, 05:17:03 AM »

This looks like what could be the best film of the year.
Bale, Jackman, and Caine? IN ONE MOVIE!!! Plus add the director of Batman Begins...and Abra Kadabra!

(this very weird for me to get excited for this kind of film at my oh so young age...)  Wink

I just saw the trailer for this the other day, looks amazing, kind of reminds me of Lord of Illusions but about a billion times better  Wink

I must say it looks great and the names attached give me great hope.

Nolan so far is doing a damned fine job. Insomnia was only OK and Following was boring (started out cool, though) but Memento and Begins were great. He's one of my favorite directors.

Funny, The Illusionist is also coming out. Kind of similar, with Edward Norton. Need to see that, as well...

Read the book - it was quite good, so I'm looking forward to the film.

Maybe it's quicktime? This should work for you, although it isn't as good a quality.

I may have been here from the start, but how many of you have gotten more involved than I ever was since I left? I feel so inaequate. It's a good thing I've a massive knob.

Must be the quicktime yeah.  Wow, that trailer looks great.  Christian Bale is truly a genius.

Looks excellent. If I had to choose a new director for Alien 6 it would be Christopher Nolan. I think his style would fit right in with the likes of Scott, Cameron and Fincher.

Alien 6? Who's directing Alien 5, then?

Well, let's just skip 5.  It will be a prequel to 6 after 6 is released.
