"This actually really pisses me off. I don't know who decided those crappy photos should be used. That's the dam stunt head shot it the worse possible way. Just look at the trailer or pics of the toy and you'll see what he really looks like. I'm also going to see if I can post some of the images from the actually movie of him instead of those crappy behind the scenes photos."

Did they actually shoot any real footage on this film or was it all behind the scenes shots of stunt suits?

Should it make any difference?

Intersteing story - the shot of the Alien getting blown out of the airlock in Alien was a test shot, pure behind-the-scenes footage if you will.  Scott used it because it was the best shot they took of it (apparently it was rather complex to do). 

So even the test footage in Alien is good enough to get cinematic treatement...
