...Sorry this is not Alien related.  I just thought I'd post some recent work that I did, since I don't think that many folks have seen my work and what I do.  For those who don't know: I'm a CG artist, and I tend to specialize in Product Vis.  I primarily use LightWave, Modo, and Photoshop for post render retouching and texture creation.  I do this freelance and I'm the head of an in-house CG Dept. for a Comp house in New York.

If anyone wants to see more just let me know and I'll be happy to share it.

This is a personal piece that became a marketing image for my department.  I wanted to play around with Lightwave's new node-based textures, and this is the result.

And Thanks, Hicks.  I generally try to go for photo realistic representations when doing 3D work (there are a couple of exclusions to this - which I'll post in a bit).  My 2D work tends to look far more illustrative in comparison.

Here are a few non photo real pieces.

These are all personal projects (again - created in Lightwave).  The first is a simple 360 rotation of a custom BSG Viper I'm working on.  I've been working on it for about 6 months now (whenever I have the time), so it's not textured yet.

Another personal project that's in the wings, but hasn't been started yet, is an M41A Pulse Rifle.

These two are part of a series (the third is in the works - I just need to add some finishing touches).  I wanted to create a space and mood using light.  There are no textures used in these, and each uses only one light source.

Excellent!  That was the goal.

And I wanted to pieces to be able to stand on their own using just light and shadow.
