It should always be posted in the Network Update mini-feed that's had "Enter Out Predator: Flesh and Blood Giveaway!" posted on it smiling at us for almost a month.

They've been pretty lazy about putting news up there.

I was just looking at that yesterday thinking "I should update that...". But understand, I work 45-50 hours per week, I have a life outside this site, I'm working my tail off trying to keep up with just the movie news, plus there's gaming, action figure, novel/comic, and other general news...plus there's working on things like contests and interviews and such... Plus, there's being an active moderator in the forums.

It's not like I'm just sitting around with my thumb up my arse. If updating the news headlines here happened automatically as they get posted on the main site it would be the cat's ass. But I have to post it on the site, then update the rotating Flash banner (if it's a major story), then come in here and post it manually...jesus, when I said 45-50 hours work, I didn't mean on the site!

In other words, I do what I can. As it is I probably dedicate approximately 2 hours per night to the site (averaging it out) either researching news, posting news, updating the site's content, moderating/posting, etc. So, I don't think lazy is a term I would toss around. Wink

All more reasons I miss O'Malley and RaV being around... Cry

Anyway. Im hoping that the movie is good. Hopfully the aliens will get their moments to shine, by kicking wolf's ass a few times here and there. I want to see AvP, not predator 3...hey that rhymes. Mr Green returns

as long as the directors don't start coming up with stories in interviews about  how they were on the phone to Eli Roth trying to outgore each other with ideas, there might be some hope and I might bother to watch it

(PS That Eli Roth reference was just about something irritating that came up in an interview with the Saw IV director, and I haven't bothered to watch the movie)

Let's hope for some good entertainment.

We'll get it! What I'm excited to see is the LOOK of the film. I'm hearing some great things about the cinematography and lighting of this film. I can't wait.

What happened to those guys?

O'Malley moved from Vancouver to Toronto and had his computer stolen. Which sucks in a big way. And now he's back in Vancouver getting set up again. He hopes to have a new PC soon.

RaV is in college and is just maxed out for free time. He pops in every so often but doesn't get a chance to post much.

Hopefully both will be back to their previous levels one day soon.

I'm not looking for high-art in AVP-R, but I'm looking for a good time.  And I have to say from what I've seen thus far it looks like it'll be a good popcorn munching flick. ...Which is more than I could say for AVP.  I couldn't even enjoy my popcorn while watching that.  So bring on AVP-R.  And congrats to everyone who helped pull it together.

I have to say I'm surprised the bros wrapped up over a month before release.  I was expecting them to wrap much closer to the 12.25. Especially since post can run long and tight on a deadline.  Although, I suppose having directors that have such a strong background in visual effects and working in the post production arena helps in working out some of the potential timing issues.

And Hicks, considering the scope of this site I'm damned impressed with your ability to keep it fresh in a regular basis.  Clap

it might be a stange thing for some to consider that maybe these two brothers do actually have the ability together to do the work of two people at once, and there are all these directors wishing that they had clones to oversee all the work in the movie

I agree, but there are not doing that. They seem to aim specifically for the teenage audience now after the first AVP.
Eh.............R rating, anyone? If they really wanted to aim for teenagers they'd make it PG-13.

Yeah, but they still have that fanbase they created with the first AVP and R rating does not really deter teenagers from seeing the movie. More gore and action will pique their interests more. Its not just gore and violence that makes a movie more "mature." I certainly haven't seen any indication of depth that made me like Alien.

Teenagers don't go to R rated movies? News to me!

Not to mention how immature the movie comes across anyway.

Yeah, R is still a teen-safe rating. Maybe not tween-safe, but fuck those little brats anyway!
