The blue ray cover for AVPR is quite cool!

I can't wait to see all the extras and the makings of the film, should be very interesting.

Yeah, I imagine this will be much like AVP...a lot of back-slapping and cock-sucking optimism about what a great film they were making...that will make me want to puke. Sick

I was never able to get past 10 minutes on any of the commentary tracks because of that.  Cry

They totally should have gotten some of us to do a commentary. Kind of like how they did with the Matrix sequels, only we'd be more hard core. Well, I would at least. It would be a big 90-minute rant with pauses when you'd hear stuff being smashed.

"Look at the Alien here. What the hell. Seriously. What the hell. It's just standing there. And why the hell does the Predator need a damned power glove? Why doesn't it just crawl out of the manhole the Aliens went through? Brilliant, dude! Cover your tracks by punching a giant frickin' hole through the street!"

The manhole is on the other side of the rubble that got in-between the predator and the aliens.  Shhhh!

Altough you're right, he could've just as well used that power glove to punch those debris away instead!

We would need 2 seperate audio commentary tracks to do that. One to point out how they completely screded over the franchises and creatures and one to point out all the shoddy filmmaking they did.

Alternatly we could have a third one consisting of someone yelling "It's too fucking dark we can't see shit" every few seconds.

IGN review of the DVD.  This bit's interesting:

Quote
Special Extreme Unrated Review: The problem with announcing an "unrated" version of any film is the implication that it is, in some way, significantly different. AvP: R sports an unrated cut that is in no way different than the theatrical version. It's easy enough to determine this fact when the DVD offers an interactive Added Footage Marker which appears on-screen with incredible infrequency, and only for a scant few moments at a time. With the exception of some inconsequential and slightly extended gore, there are no new scenes here – no fully-restored sequences never glimpsed by audiences. Ultimately, the film feels the same as the original cut. It doesn't play faster, or proceed with increased brutality. It's pretty much the same time version, only two minutes longer, and serves as a prime example of the misleading nature of DVD marketing. There's nothing "special" or "extreme" about this.
