My local theater isn't playing it, but it's no biggie, it's only a 30 minute train ride (or something like that) to the nearest town which plays it, which to my surprise are going to show it one day early on January 3rd, so that's cool.
Altough my expectations have reached rock bottom since everyone started reviewing it, I'm now hesitant wether or not to drag my friends along or not.

I hear ya. I don't think I can in good conscience try to convince my friend to take me 45 miles to go see a shitty movie. Maybe if we have another reason to go to Hamburg or whatever we can fit it in, though. Not sure how it's going to work, when I will see it, etc.

Well best of luck to ya. So far only my older brother will go with me. I have a strong urge to reassure him (and anyone else that might be accompanying me) that this indeed will be a really bad film, so as to A) make sure their expectations aren't really that high (altough everyone I know hate AVP, so by default it shouldn't be), B) they're not gonna hate me for wasting money for like when I took everyone to see M:I 3 and, C) if it indeed sucks as much as everyone's saying, I'll be able to say "I fucking told you so".
