Yeah, and it stole its best line from Doctor Who and the Destiny of the Daleks!

That was brilliantly random Grin (+)
What was the line?

I thought The Departed was just fine. And I'm not saying there aren't bad films listed in the Razzies. What I am saying is I don't need the Razzies to tell me what films are bad or what films I shouldn't like, just as I don't need the Oscars to tell me what films are good or what films I should like.

I've seen highly nominated Oscar films before and not liked them at all and vice versa. The whole things a political, crapshoot anyway.

I don't hate the film or anything, it's obviously not a piece of crap. No bad film has yet been nominated for an Oscar that I know, just some that are average to good, and I'd put the Departed in the latter end of the spectre. 6\10 or so maybe.

I had forgotten that Kubrick got nominated for worst director for The Shining, so that says more than enough about the razzies doesn't it?

The Razzies were never meant to be taken seriously - Why the fuck is everyone getting into a "BOO! FUCK THE RAZZIES! FUCK THE AWARD SHOWS!" tirade about this? Not just here, but everywhere. So some people thought it was shit enough to 'honour' it by nominating it for a joke award. What the hell is wrong with that? Are you all that insecure or something? Eh?

"Maybe, maybe not, maybe fuck yourself?"

or

"The FBI are like mushrooms, you feed 'em shit and keep 'em in the dark"?

Look guys don't take the films I've listed as factually being good or crap. This is in my opinion. But all of us here probably are unhappy with some Best Picture winners and love some Razzie winners.

And the Departed ain't a masterpiece or even close once you get behind it's star power.

Opinions and arseholes. And I'd hardly say a gangster film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon has "star power".

I'm not getting up in arms, I just don't put much stock into award shows. Or critics for that matter.

I always get all up in arms, every year. Once I flip out and throw a fit I usually feel better, though. I think I feel better now.

Nah.  The second one's pretty common though - it's a 'Nam era and standard merc motto!

The best line is, of course:

THE DAA-LEKS ARE NOT PRO-DUCTS OF THE EN-VI-RON-MENT!!!  THE EN-VI-RON-MENT IS A PRO-DUCT OF THE DAAAAA-LEKS!!!!

O-BEY!!! O-BEY!!! O-BEEEEEEYYYY!!!!
