For all I’ve heard about Concrete Jungle, it seems to want to emulate that to a certain extent. My main reason for recommending Rockstar North is that they’ve been in the business since the early 90’s, if not before. They ain’t gonna go bust developing a new game, which is always reassuring! |
| True, but I do belive that Open Endness was attempted well before hand, wasn’t The Elder Scrolls: Arena open ended to an extent? As where the sequels? But in reality, they did a pretty good job at it, although I don’t really like the game, but I have only played the PC version, never bothered to play the PS2 version which is probably a gatrafiasillion times better. I’ve got another development company to add to the list. Violition, they did the awsome "Red Faction 1 & 2" and did a (imo) phenominal job with The Punisher video game. "

| I didn’t put Microsoft up there because if they did P:CJ2, it’d be made for the Xbox & PC only, when it should be made for all systems. I personally feel (while they’re fairly good games) that Halo 1 & 2 are extremely overrated. "

| As far as I know, open play goes right back to the mid-1980’s with David Brahben’s Elite. The GTA series seems the best implementation of such concepts, although it’s still not as open as I’d like it. "
