Yeah the editor used the directors cut and other outtake footage to compile his version of the scene. They are different to the Alien Redux versions, if I'm honest i thought the editor might of taken the Alien Redux and just rearranged and added scenes to it without watching it I'm not to sure. I'm having difficulties obtaining it.

No, The Alien Redux and this Ultimate Workprint contain Deleted scenes and Outtakes featured mainly in the Quadrilogy Special Features. I think in the Redux some footage was taken from the Alien Legacy & Alien Saga documentaries. |

Ok so this thread has been quiet now for quite a while...whats the chances of a 2011 re-direction to where I can get the Redux cut or any of the Apendix series??

I got this DVD via trade from a guy who claimed that he's the one who made it about 5-6 years ago.
Maybe it was him.
He described how he went about it by just assembling all the alt footage that was available. But he said he didn't put it ALL in because he left out some scenes that were just extensive tracking shots of the models and what not.
But ever since he told me that I've always thought to myself that I would LOVE a version with every single model shot, pointless meandering or frivolous dialogue available in it.
Its a freaking Da Vinci!
Every single dripped paint, smear or splatter from this movie is precious and worthy of extended consideration IMO.
I'd like to see somebody with the editing skills make an even more extensive 2.0 version one day.
