I was actually thinking that. If they brought it up here, it's only a matter of time before it mutates and kills every living thing on the surface, then goes back to subsisting on inorganic matter.

It's still made of CHON. It uses heat from uranium decay, it doesn't actually eat uranium. This is a highly unusual organism, but it's not a paradigm-smasher.
