Constantine. Wasn’t bad, but why the fuck was Chas a 15 year old boy? Honestly, I think people underrate it. 7/10 "

| See that’s the thing. I was totally expecting it to suck balls. Keanu suprised me, Weisz suprised me and even the Holy Shotgun suprised me. Personally Hugh Laurie is my choice for Constantine, but Keanu was okay in the role. But Chas, a fucking taxi driver, is a 15 year old boy? That’s an insanely fucked up casting choice. P.S. Did you know that Alan Moore has claimed to have run in to Constantine in real life, twice? "

Van God Los (Godforsaken), a very well-made Dutch crime drama released in 2003. Great story, acting and directing, very powerful and effectively disturbing. "

| I would have gone with James Marsters (Spike from Buffy) in the lead. None of them surprised me. Canoe? FFS... Is that what the interview was about in the back of the first issue? I dont really want to go into the garage to dig it up. "

| Masters is a great choice. I’m not quite sure, apparently Alan Moore was sitting in a pub eating his lunch and in walked a guy who was a dead ringer for John Constantine, trench coat and cigarettes aplenty, they breifly stared at each other and Constantine walked out. Here’s what he said to Wizard: Quote:"One day, I was in Westminster in London-this was after we had introduced the character-and I was sitting in a sandwich bar. All of a sudden, up the stairs came John Constantine. He was wearing the trenchcoat, a short cut-he looked-no, he didn’t even look exactly like Sting. He looked exactly like John Constantine. He looked at me, stared me straight in the eyes, smiled, nodded almost conspiratorially, and then just walked off around the corner to the other part of the snack bar. "I sat there and thought, should I go around that corner and see if he is really there, or should I just eat my sandwich and leave? I opted for the latter; I thought it was the safest. I’m not making any claims to anything. I’m just saying that it happened. Strange little story." |
| The second time is just plain weird: Quote:| "Years later, in another place, he steps out of the dark and speaks to me. He whispers: "I’ll tell you the ultimate secret of magic. Any cur could do it."" |
