Have you heard about Wikileaks lately?

What do you think about it? Are you surprised that someone is finally using the Internet to do that?

Government secrets have been leaked onto the Internet for years, but this is the first time someone had the balls to create an entire website for that exclusive purpose.

How reliable can it be? How can we know for sure? Do we admire that he has the balls to do it and admit he's doing it and are blinded by it? Is he only telling us what we want to hear?

This is very intriguing to me, the whole process of truths and beliefs.

I admire that they had the balls to set it up, greater transparency being a very good thing, and I really admire the technology behind the site.  As to what's on it, it's like everything else: you have to use your own judgement and that of those that you trust (or don't) to work out if it's legit or not.

Although generally the reaction of the organisations the leak has been from speaks volumes in itself!

It's the first one that guarantees at some pretty good degrees of anonymity to whoever uploads it too, which is very nifty indeed.

A number of, erm, sensitive documents pertaining to the organisation I work for got upped to Wikileaks last year.  That was quite interesting to watch.
