As far as I can tell, the Predator: Dark Jungle game that I reported on ages ago is cancelled. I can't state it officially, but the guy's email address no longer works, so its as close as I can be. I only got as far as ever interviwing one of the people working on the game, and posting up the concept art (see second to last news post): http://theultimatepredator.tripod.com/Not really news, just an update. |

But how do you know it was cancelled?
Come to think of it, the news of this game never appeared anywhere else apart from your site. It was never officially announced.

The guys email address no longer works, as I stated before. Its as close as I can be, but before when it was wokring, he just stopped replying, now it doesn't work.
It was in pre-produciton when I was told about it, had only bene going for a few months, assume thats where it ended:
"The Ultimate Predator: When did you decide to start making this game, and how long has it been going on for?
Geoffrey Daniels: The game has been in Pre-Production for almost a few months now, so we started working on it in July of these year. Of course, well all brought in ideas from before we ever dreamt of making a predator game. So in essence, I suppose it has been in the works longer."

No. The company (Incubus Games) had just started up, and contacted me to start interest in the game. They were talking to Fox at the time, or already had, then something fell through.

This is what they said to me in the first email:
"Hello, my name is Thomas Galloway, I am the Public Relations for a new games company called Incubus Games. We are a small UK based company that has only just started but we have aquired the rights to create a PSP/GBDS based Predator game. I have been conducting some research into the online Predator community and I have noticed your site is one of the more popular, so I was wondering if you would like to get exclusives from us regarding this game? "
"We are offering you a Pre-Production interview (which you can conduct now), a Production and a Pre-Production interview and exclusive screen shots of the game. We will soon have a website for the company and the game up and running."

They chose AvPNews. They said they were in discussions with AvPNews, but I don't know whether that was going to happen, or they meant it had (wasn't with Corpral Hicks, must have been with Eldritch).
