I was thinking something silmilar about this shot:  That helmet looks an awful lot like the Starship Troopers helmets, and the fact that the Pulse Rifle was made longer in the shot doesn't help the ST look either.  |

I really hope we can get away from the uber long Predator wrist blades. I mean, what's up with that? I think the size there at in the picture is perfect, long enough but not to long to long, like AVP would probably go beyond the marines head, which is overkill |

In that pic the wrist blades on the right hand are okay, but the left are already too long.

They're both the same size, it's just the focal length and the perspective playing a trick on the eye. If you look at the gameplay videos though, you notice that the wristblades are the normal size from the Predator films. However! I seem to recall there actually being screenshots of the wristblades in the size of those in AvP too..  edit: Actually, come to think of it. It's not that they're the AVP-type length, it's just that they made the wristblades considerably larger. Check it out for comparison against the original:  |

I agree with Rusty. The AVP blades are way too long! They seem longer than the gauntlet that is supposed to house them!
The length in Predator is perfect. Anything longer and it looks unrealistic and cartoony.
And the blades are the same length between arms in that shot. As Rusty said it's perspective and focal length coming into play.
