From the people who made ALIEN comes a 1 hour 20 minute look at the making of the 1979 classic. Hear from Rone Hone, Roger Nichols, Neil Swan, Brian Eke, John Hatt, Martin Bower, Simon Deering, Jon Sorensen, and Bill Pearson. This is an amazing look back at the creation of a classic! ALIEN MakersThanks to Willie Goldman over at ALIENS Legacy for sharing this find!

There are also two pages of unpreviously seen Ridleygrams shown. I wonder what else there is to see

Hello everyone, Due to the 'Pandora Effect' my bandwidth is being slowly eaten up and I'm looking for an additional place to put my film 'Alien Makers' either for direct download or for streaming. The file is 276MB and is 640x384 pixels and is in flash format (FLV) running 1 hr 20 mins Can anyone come up with suggestions please?

If one of the forum eggheads doesn't see your request today, they should by tomorrow. Fret not, Dennis. I think we might soon have a solution!

Thank you Thedus
The plan is to make available the flash video first and then the DVD version a few days later. I'm thinking maybe as an ISO file? with DVD cover jpg included. What do you think?

It has left me wondering if any of them got to meet HR Giger and what they thought of him, and what else Ridley Scott use to say that sounded strange enough for them to want to hear impersonations of, it was interesting to think about how Scott was talking about the Alien having some sort of an umbilicus like thing on the set. I suppose I wonder if any of them were interested in discussing what the alien monster and its origins were. I like the fact that Jon Sorenson had a thought that the Nostromo ought to have been a decommisioned battle ship and that's why it should have been yellow. It's a pity that Giger's main sculptor died a number of years ago because he would probably have been interesting to interview. I was interested in what one of these people said about Ivor Powell and how he responded to Ridley when he was losing his temper. It was good to see the concept drawing of the final Narcissus design. And I wonder if Bill Pearson has any more previously unseen Ridleygrams to share. I've already made screengrabs of the ones seen here.
That was a wonderful 80mins

Bill Pearson tells a funny story of when Giger came to the model workshop with his wife Mia (both dressed in tight black leather gear). Mia was shooting the occasion on video (this was used in the film Giger's Alien) and was wearing a huge belt buckle made in chrome. The modellers became fascinated by the buckle and it seemed to attract a lot of attention, on close inspection the design was of a bat doing naughty things to a naked lady. She beckoned the model makers towards her and said "You like?", they nodded their heads in agreement and she promptly replied "I made it myself and they sell for £80 each, you want?". They made their excuses and returned to work.
