I was proud to have him as a member here.
I was very honoured to have gone searching around the supermarkets for a little tub of Gentleman's Relish to send to him by post

Just found out that Simon Deering passed away last February
Admittedly I haven't been as active on the boards, and site in general, as much as I would have liked to have been in the past couple of years, what with so many things happening and changing in my life in that time, but now I really wish I had kept up better, as I had not heard about Simon's death. Truly saddened.

Hope you are all busy and well. Recently came across this shot of modelmaker Simon Deering (left) and special effects technician Neil Swan (right) taken at Dennis Lowe's flat, I believe, when we were working on the miniatures for ALIEN. Neil passed away about two years ago and Simon in February of this year as you now know here. Great shot of them sharing a laugh together. The ALIEN crew was a real family. These guys will still be laughing somewhere, count on it. Stay well, guys. Jon. X

That's the guy who was one of the 'sparks' - I'll get his name in a minute.
Congrats Simon, but who is Gerard K O'Neill?
Hi guys. see you found out about 'Tricky Dickie" Lewis. My Dad. I'm delighted to have found this pic and several others of him of Space 99, Alien etc. I was very priviledged to go to Bray and help out. I crawled under sets, wiring up lights, exposives etc. getting tied up by Nick Alder. Such Fun! Dick worked on:- Alien, Space 99 (all series) Blakes 7, and a fair few others. He had a special bond with Group 3 prods, but I got excited when a friend posted a link to the above image. Is it a movie clip? My kids never met Dick, and i'd love to have a chance to show them anything like this? I live in NZ now. Was delighted just other week, watching history channel, and a prog on Concentration camps, and up popped Harry Oakes being interviewed. He was first cameraman into Concentration camp. Man what a programme and heart went out to the guy. If anyone can provide links to other images of Dick and crew etc. a movie would blow me away! Cheers and thanks for putting all this up. You Rock. Cheers Dave Lewis

This may be of some interest to a few of you. The making of "doc" for my short sci-fi BID TIME RETURN, now in the can. Mentioned it on here some time back. In any event, sending love and best to all here. Take care of yourselves and each other. Jon. XXX

Looks awesome, Jon! Thanks for stopping by and sharing it. I saw the Red One and started drooling, especially at that shot from above imitating the helicopter. Ingenius.

Thank you I rented Alien Blood through netflix over here in the murika, and I thought that it was wonderful! The biggest problem IMO being that hollywood critical and audience sycophants have no tolerance for art They have every intention by method and design of lashing out towards it as an act of aggression towards their tyranny of mediocrity (They have genuinely conquered and repurposed ridley scott Stupidity breeds faster)
