Jon Sorensen, who has recently been participating in some very interesting conversations with Dennis Lowe, Simon Deering and many of our forum members here on the site, has allowed us to upload and host his wonderful musical creations inspired by Alien and the time he spent working on the film as a miniature modeler. Right now in our downloads section you can download either the entire Alien 5 album (you will need WinRar or another extraction utility to open the file) or each of the seven tracks individually. There is also one track from Jon's The Core of Dreams album titled A Saucerful of Secrets. Any Alien fan should download and listen to these tracks as the music all ties in directly to the film and is an existential listening experience. Special thanks to Jon for sharing these tracks with us. And feel free to post your feedback here I'm sure Jon is looking forward to hearing your thoughts. On a related note, I'm looking for someone who can burn a PAL version DVD to test the PAL DVD ISO for the Alien Makers documentary before we release it publically. I tested the NTSC version myself and it is ready to go but I'm waiting to release both together. If you can play the PAL format let me know and I can make a download available for you.

There is a fellow from Germany who volunteered to download and test it. Should be done today. But if you'd like to do the same I could give you access to the file on our server. No problem.
Let me know!

I used a DVD emulator to test the PAL version and it works perfectly. Although I discovered a problem with the NTSC version that will require a reupload by Dennis. In the meantime I know many people are awaiting the files so I'm going to go ahead and make the PAL version available, then announce the whole ball of wax once both files are ready.
I have to upload the PAL to a specific folder on the server to make it available in the download manager. Should be ready by this time tomorrow. In the meantime I'll get you FTP access Simon.

From my website and the internet.
"This (PRISON BREAK) and my EP Single THE KILLING OF MOBY DICK bring full circle a blueprint 3 year music project in which I wanted to express musically all I had to say in that creative area. It's done, and with the exception of the planned re-issue of my RENDLESHAM FOREST debut album and the release of the already completed third part of my WITCH trilogy, both through Solaris Records, this brings this intense project to it's planned conclusion. May these 11 albums continue to inspire you ".

I like to come to movies late, so have recently caught up with four.
BEOWOLF and 300 blew me away totally. Presently researching the techniques used on both those movies, particularly 300. If you guys know of anything online or in hard copy I can look at, then do please let me know. I'll perhaps explain why later.
Also caught up with M Night Shyamalan' THE HAPPENING, which I absolutely loved. A really powerful and creepy movie. I'm a big fan of Shyamalan's work. I know not many people are. I even liked LADY IN THE WATER. For me, THE HAPPENING sounds a very real warning indeed. His work is understated and all the more effective for that.
When I was'nt looking, someone also smuggled a DVD of AVATAR into the house so I sat down and watched it in 2D. It reinforces my opinion of Jim Cameron as a really important technical innovator and contributor. In that sense, a flawless piece of work and something for everyone to aim at technically. The story was moving and significant, but I was astonished at how weak the music was given James Horner's experience. (Covered that elsewhere on these Forums).
I have also very recently passed on most of my artifacts, art and files from my working on ALIEN to a French movie collector whose long term aim it is to give all this to the French Cinematheque film museum. I have always had a soft spot for the French appreciation of cinema right across the board so am very pleased this has happened. You guys should read David Puttnams' scholarly book The Undeclared War on how the French stood up to Hollywood for example
Other than that, hope you're all ticketyboo.
