It'll be another confirmation of the Standard Model, but it won't prove or disprove String Theory.

well, Stephen Hawking seems to think otherwise:

(about supersymmetric partner particles that may be found by the LHC)

Maybe I exaggerated when I called it proof. But it would be a pretty strong indication in favor of string theory.
