I always thought of a prequel to show the events leading up to the crash of the Jockey ship. I think they could pull it off, but only if they did it right. They screwed AVP's potential hopefully, they'll give the Alien Prequel a proper storyline.

that's the only way it could be done and done right! they will make the crash of the jockey the cause of a previous crew that dealt with the alien before!

I rather like Cameron's job on ALIENS, but for a Prequel we need Ridley to bring us that "classic" setting that was present all throughout ALIEN. The jockeys could bring alot to the picture, I bet they'll be in the Prequel. Why not.
