Dark Horse has posted up a pretty cool interactive guide on how they make a comic featuring the first issue of the new Predator comic series: You can click on different tabs at the top of the guide which shows you, step-by-step, the process of putting together a page in a comic - from the script to penciling to inking to colouring to finally lettering. There are six pages in all to preview.

Interesting. I've always wanted to see something like that showing the process.

I wouldnt mind some kind of program/aoftware that lets you make your own comic/manga. With an easy interface for those who cant speak computer.

I've no moneys. Is it difficult to use I wonder ? Or how many gigs it takes up. I'd like to see a finished product from that. I wonder does it require one of those expensive writing/electronic pad deelys. I'll try to read and find out...

Primordial... deep cold... way below the line...

I love how Darkhorse offers a glimpse into the comic-making process. Being able to pull back the layers - colors, lettering, inks, down to the base pencils - is terrific.
Did anyone get a chance to read this issue? Good? Bad?

A universe of dark mystery and unfathomable monstrosity lies just beyond the boundaries of our field of vision. In those shadows lurk the Starbeasts.

None of the new generation of comics were that great unfortunately.

That's unfortunate. It's a good thing that Darkhorse has collected the old stories in an omnibus format.
