Despite the fact that I'm not really into Steve Perry's views on the Aliens' intelligence; he wrote in AvP Prey a scene where a group of Aliens tear a Predator apart limb by limb if I remember correctly. We're getting way too far from that scene.

Have we ever seen an Alien tear anything apart limb from limb?  Even when we think one's doing it in Resurrection, we don't see it.

(I hope you're just playing beckmen, er, devil's advocate)

Honestly, you don't think an Alien could do it? I think they're naturally stronger than the Predators. If they weren't, then why would Predators need to go into fighting them with so many gadgets and weapons? They could just beat them up and never have to worry about acid blood.

Then we have awful scenes in AvP R that totally contradict themselves where "Wolf" basically wrestles the PredAlien that's what...three times his size?  D'oh!

I'm just getting pissed at how much weaker and dumber filmmakers are making the Aliens with each film.

I don't think that the problem's whether an Alien could do it, but whether they would want to.  They mostly just snatch folks and take them back to reproduce through them, mostly.  Anything else is a bit wasteful.

If there's a force headed for their hive of eggs, or bodies waiting to give birth to chestbursters, they'd have some motivation to do some quick killing.

Predators are fucking god-modded in AVP and AVP 2. They are depicted as being technologically, intellectually, and physically superior. It pisses me off beyond more than you can imagine, to see my favorite Sci Fi Icon be degraded to shit, by shits. The Aliens, since they are not particularly gifted with the first two things I listed, should atleast have the latter. So fucking pathetic.

And since the Predators ARE, as you said, the ALIENS should make up for this in superior strength and speed. This is how I always envisioned them anyways, being more brute-like, sorta like Kane's Son, or The Dragon.

Did you ever play AvP2 online?

Aliens were the counter to Predators. Seriously, I played for 3 years online. When ever I picked up my Runner and I saw a Predator, first thought? "Free Kill"

Why? Because when you are an Alien thats exactly what they are. Humans were Fodder for Predators, Aliens Fodders for Humans, Predators fodder for Aliens.

Of course if you knew what you were doing, then the advantages would dissipate.

I only played AvP2 once and that was at my friend's house. I've technically only played the first, and AvP Extinction (which is highly addicting. Wink)
