I kind of need a vehicle, but I have like no money. A bicycle is kind of out of the question, since where I live is massively hilly and trying to ride a bike up these hills will just result in a heart attack.

Another problem is that I can't afford to pay much for insurance and whatnot, I could probably swing like 20 bucks a month. I am kind of debating a moped/scooter type thing, although the chances of me being creamed by a tractor trailer make me a mite uneasy. Any suggestions?

Basically, all I need is something that will legally take me 1-4 miles in distance.

A push bike with a small petrol motor.

Or a segway.

Stilts.  Really giant fuck-off type stilts.  The kind a single stride could easily cover 100m with.

Any Brits know if the Right to Reject is viable for goods bought in another country? But the company is Global?

My Asus motherboard has the Sandy Bridge problem and Asus are refusing to repair it, they keep telling me to send it to the reseller. In Singapore. Not possible, it would take months for me to get it back.

So, what are my options? If it is limited to nothing I would at least like to tell them they are a shitty company.

Contact the company you bought it from and ask them if they have a service agent in your area affiliated with them. Do it now as the longer you wait, the harder it will be to get a favourable out come. They may even contact ASUS on your behalf and cover repair costs. Or send the unit back for replacement. You should be covered if it's new, and sometimes certain credit cards have a buyer protection policy for internet shoppers. The company you bought it from should have a DOA clause allowing return. Just don't have anyone else try to fix it before exploring all those options or you will definately void whatever warranty you hold.

It was bought in Sim Lim Square Singapore, it is highly unlikely they will have a agent in the UK. Even then my Dad bought it for me as a gift so not sure about credit cards, when he gets home from Bali he will talk to me and see what we can do. He might be able to convince them.

If not, im just going to tell them they have lost a customer and I am also advising all of my friends and family to not buy Asus, that may kick them into gear.

Do you even notice a problem with the board? What I was reading about the problem, said most people wouldn't even notice, and it takes time to lose like 6% of the speed. Also, is it possible a PCI-E SATA card would fix the problem?

Those things cost just as much as a new Mobo.

And it has totally degraded to the point of being unusable. Only ports 0 and 1 work, cause those are the 6Gb/s ports.

I may just end up buying a new board with more RAM and PCI slots so I can add more RAM and an extra video card linked via SLI

If you are going to do that, find a friend who works for a major corporation to email on your behalf. Computer companies tend to take more notice of messages from corporations as opposed to a single consumer, and your threat of telling all your family, friends, work associates, affiliates etc will have more weight. I find I get more accomplished from my work email instead of using my 'hotmail' address.

Does AVPGalaxy always dump innocent, speak-their-mind members here?

I'd hope nobody dumps anybody here.

How do you make letters numbers in phone numbers?

Let's say you want to call 1800-FUCK YOU, what numbers are the letters in the words "fuck you", and how do you do it?

I've always wondered this, we don't have anything like that around here. I assume it's exclusive to America?
