It's just as canon as any other AvP movie.

There isn't really any "canon" per se to the Alien franchise. I mean, as an unwritten rule, the films are the greatest authority on the Alien universe and, on its own, has the least amount of problem reconciling with each. When you factor in all the games, comics, novels, etc. then it starts to get hairy.

No, they don't.

And anyone who says what is and isn't canon is talking out their bottom, unless they work for Fox licensing.  In which case the only subject they WOULDN'T be talking out their bottom would be the subject of Alien canon.

It does go against the rules.  Fairly blatantly.

It's a made up universe! Discussing what is and isn't real in a made-up universe is like arguing with a dining room table, I have no interest in doing it!

That's only cos the table usually wins.  Mr Green returns

Every believable made up universe has some sort of rules.

If only it was a small amount - say the mandibles (still stupid no doubt, but I'll grant them) - then it wouldn't have been such an issue.  But they added those godawful dreads and boobies.

Maybe it's cos just about everyone involved in the creation of that flick had very little idea what they were doing.
