Haha it would be a little bit like Star Wars having a Prequel Trilogy, but Ridley could do the first and get Cameron to do the 2nd and get a completely different Director to do the third. David Finchers lastest films haven't been amazing.

Zodiac and Benjamin Button were endlessly better than Avatar.

Zodiac and Benjamin Button were endlessly better than Avatar. Zodiac especially. And for the record, Fincher did a damned fine job with 3. It was Fox that botched it.

I agree with David Fincher making Alien 3, I actually do like the Alien 3 Special Edition, there's something about it which is superior to the theaterical version

A bit like The Abyss then, really. Another movie fucked up by Fox's cutting room.

I can't really agree too much with that anymore. I recently watched it, and I guess I had forgotten how awful the acting and dialogue were. Now that's just horrible directing (and writing) there. I think that Avatar is probably Cameron's worst movie followed by The Abyss. I haven't seen Pirhana II yet, so I can't include it. That said, I still give The Abyss 8/10. The production design is so fucking awesome in that movie. I just wish it wasn't so damn cheesy.

However saying that, I could find a massive fanbase on Avatar....It was one of the most popular films of the year and has won many awards, even if it was Camerons worst movie in your opinion
