Danny Glover was too old an not at all imposing, IMO. I would have preferred somebody like Dolph Lundgren in the role.

Danny was roughly 43 at the time. Arnie was 40 in Predator.

I agree, but I don't understand why that's bad. I mean, the Predator didn't hunt him because it saw him body building, it saw him take out 5+ guys with a single weapon unscathed.

Doesn't need to be bulky or anything, but IMO he should have been 'bad ass'. If not physically, then his personality. Glover is too much of an everyman, makes the Predator look weak. Just my opinion.

I don't know, it was just a different approach. I don't understand why everyone thinks we need these huge wrestler types to be fighting Predators. It might as well be "The Marine 3" produced by WWE.  Sick We can do better than that; we can be more creative I think, but we aren't.

It's this line of thinking that makes me realise Nimrod hasn't the slightest idea of what he's doing. In that interview where he said fans would've still complained if he'd cast Vin Diesel (Well duh, he sucks). I'm not insulting you, because you're right. Predator doesn't need bodybuilders it needs badasses, Bruce Willis, Kurt Russell, Seagal, Mel Gibson, Jet Li etc aren't bodybuilders, but they're famous for being able to kick copious amounts of ass convincingly.

I'm on the fence with Glover, when he's show his leadership skills he's quite convincing, when he snaps and starts ranting he comes off as a cranky old man. I mean I like him, but for lots if it, it's for the wrong reasons.

I gotta back my boy Danny here. In all reality, I don't think he's a particularly small guy- he's certainly bigger than Busey. And, frankly, anybody who'd look to get physical with Keyes or Robert Davi's character gets my vote for psycho/badass of the year.

To me, it seems like they basically cast Danny Glover as Dirty Harry... versus Predator. Which would've probably given us all a fatal geekgasm.
