New Predator Ultimate Edition Blu Ray Details Revealed

Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has sent us exclusive information about the upcoming Predator 'Ultimate Hunter Edition' Blu-ray which hits stores on June 29th 2010. The new release will feature an all new digital restoration of the film, a new sneak peak at Predators, and an all-new retrospective documentary entitled 'Evolution of the Species: Hunters of Extreme Perfection' that includes interviews with Predators producer Robert Rodriguez, director Nimrod Antal and original Predator producer John Davis. Here's a quote from Rodriguez from the doc:

    "What I loved about Predator is how it played against expectations. Everyone expected another Commando type movie, and it starts off that way but then switches gears and goes very horror, sci-fi and it was refreshing to see something take that turn and become something else and that's what I think give it it's cult classic status."

Also, the release will include one of those $10 Movie Money certificates for Predators, which hits theaters on July 9th.

Is it confirmed the US version is getting the resto on the footage?

Yeah, the specs from DVDActive said the US version has an all-new digital restoration.

Got a email of Amazon saying the UK release has been moved forward to July 7th.

Anyone know the exact details of the extra's for the US and UK versions? I'm trying to find out if the US version of this new BR has anything that the UK version doesn't.

We sometimes tend to lose out on something here in the UK so I often get the US versions just incase for some reason the UK BR's can lose PnP commentries

Not that I am aware of. I found that on the imdb forums, and it was from imagebam, so I have no idea what the source is. But unless it's an elaborate hoax, this is what it'll look like. What makes me even more livid, is that people actually think this looks good.
