You don't want Hannibal Lecter inside your head.

^^ Yeah I see that but I'm not sure if I like that idea with preds, that's not how it was originally set out methinks, sure there are different tribes or packs of preds that could fight each other at times over hunt rights etc.. but I don't like this 'super' pred idea and the way it looks, as said before by someone else it wreaks of a potential toy/computer game/comic franchise idea to me and nothing more Just like Batman n Robin and T2, made for $$$ in the toy and gaming world.

I dont see how they could be superior to any other preds unless they were experimented on and gained new abilities which they use to rebell against society and become criminals. But seriously I know what you mean.

Can this wait? I need to do some calibrations

Or they have more advanced technology...
Cause that never gets factored into account.
Or they are just naturally stronger, from a different environment where they had to be to survive, so they evolved that way.

I see, but we don't call them superhumans...most of the time.

I know lol, but take Arnie in his prime, and your average guy. Bit of a size difference. I don't think they are actually "super" just bigger and stronger.

There are such things as feats of Super Human Strength, and the likes.
Besides, Super Predator sounds better than Better than Average Predator.

I have mix feelings about the Super Black Predator's face. The mandibles remind me soo much of the two AVP movies and yet it looks evil & meaner then the normal Preds. And I thought they were genetically enhance Predators and not another type of Predator species. But since the old Predator look (aka "Classic" predator) is in the film, I'm happy.

Well if that were the case then all of (or at least one of the preds) on the ship in Predator 2 would have been at Harrigan's throat after he had just proved himself. What had Royce proved, though? That he can hide? The tied up predator had no way of knowing Royce had killed a super predator earlier.

The fact that he's even on the hunting planet should say enough. Plus by the time he does free the predator he is one of only 3 survivors. That is really impressive if you ask me.

The script was leaked, don't have a link sorry. Maybe one of these kind souls would post one and spoil the film for you.

IMHO, if you just go with 'scare' factors, you're gonna end up with a boring, two-dimensional, rubber monster with no personality. These little things, like a pred not killing Harrigan, out of respect for the superior fighter, these things are good because they create a well-rounded character that acts more like a conscious being, rather than a mindless slobbering monster who's just there to scare you. You can do more with the former, too! The 'super' preds are the closest to the latter, however, and probably can't be sustained as a mindless killing machine for much more than this one film before becoming yawn-inducing. I actually like the new design. It took a bit of getting used to, but on first glance, it actually produced the same feeling that I get if I find a particularly large spider!

Same here actually, I think I overreacted a little bit Still not 100% sure about it, but it's definitely not as bad as I made out, hopefully it will look much better with some of that post production polish.
