The only reason a movie gets an 18 is if it includes a sex scene or drug taking. You could have someone get their head blown off and its still a 15. Its the same in Singapore, to get an M18 rating, it needs sex and drugs.

At least now a days it does, maybe not back in the 80's but times changed.

20 positive reviews and 6 negative. Looking good so far.

Some people are saying it's better than P2, others say it's a total disappointment.

Bah. At this rate, I'll be better off waiting for dudelove's review.

Depends on the context of the violence, though, at least in Britain.  If the violence is sadistic (think of the Saw films), glorified or imitable with respect to nasty and easily procurable stuff like knives (think of dudelove's example of knife twisting) it'll bump it up to an 18.

It's not as good as Predator 2 and it's not a total disappointment.

^^^^AvP2 was all in the dark so you couldn't see anything lol! Wink I would still feel better knowing it was 18. Oh....I missed the showing I was meant to see cos I would be there now haha going in 20min Smiley

Don't worry about the certificate:

Spoiler:
graphic spinal removal, they find a two week old dead body, one guy takes a plasmacaster point blank and gibs fly everywhere, lots of blood vomiting from the first two to die, one guy takes a knife in the throat, one guy writhes around with a massive hole in his chest.

Funnily enough there's a similar scene to the one that was cut from The Expendables.

So it's a slight disappointment.

It wasn't a disappointment if you ask me Smiley right on the ball bar one or two small issues.

I don't hate it. It's a recommended theater trip.

But I can't honestly say they couldn't have done much better. There was a lot of room for improvement.
