Just found this beauty yesterday, the first ever canon predator skull produced! Yay!! If I ever get any Sideshow prop replica, it has to be this one! Summary: Sideshow is proud to partner with KNB EFX GROUP to bring you the Predators Collectible line from the 2010 film release. Each prop replica is an exact full-scale reproduction of the original on-screen prop, as created by KNB. Each piece is individually painted and finished, each with its own unique quality and detail that is the trademark of a handcrafted Sideshow Collectibles product. Reflecting the original creature design, the Classic Predator Skull Prop Replica is an incredible addition to any Predator legacy display, an outstanding beginning to Sideshow's new Predators collectible line. http://www.sideshowtoy.com/?page_id=4489&sku=400048

Whoa, looking at it sideways it's like they've built it around a human skull. Even though that sounds absolutely stupid - I never viewed it like that before.

Maybe because the classic predator's head was built around a human head? I've compared it to the original and Predators 'classics', and it seems to be a good fit for both. I remember seeing it in the movie sat in a puddle in the foreground as Royce et al. walk away. I always thought having a predator skull sitting on my dresser would be badass. I dont like how they have the lower mandibles though, Nice Find Well, same here! I was never terribly satisfied with the previous predskull models, they just didn't seem quite right, they just didn't look like bone. This looks like something from a museum (or trophy case)! I admit, the lower mandibles did bother me a little to begin with, but after comparing it with the 'living' predators, they seem about right! Thanks!

Ha, yeah that will be very cool to have. I wonder what kind of creature he got that jaw from. Hopefully it was dead before he removed it. Ive been browsing the site and saw the Beserker predator 1/6 scale and have so say it looks way moar badass than the movie one.

For some reason, the back of the skull gives me the creeps.

I wonder what was the inspiration for that look...

I wonder what was the inspiration for that look... A lotus seed pod, perhaps?

Thanks for the thumbs up, all! It actually reminds me of the bones of some sea creature, maybe fish vertebrae of some description, it's the porous surface that has that effect, I think... Yeah, just checked google image search, it does remind me of fish vertebrae.
