This video further begs the question...why not just make an Aliens survival horror game? All of the tropes of the genre would probably work. Puzzles, jump-scares, the single character alone who only occasionally runs into other characters.

...only to see them being eaten or facehugged at the end of the dialogue  I honestly haven't got a clue... Wink

But yes, why not? It isn't that we need dozens of variable enemies and whatnot to do it...

The Alien Resurrection game was pretty close to this.

I didn't find that game to be very good. Much like Alien Trilogy on PS, it was just a mishmash of big levels that didn't have much inspiration in their design. Easy to get lost. Player character always alone, etc.

Just like the next FPS game. Neither of them were very original.

I just hope the game is tactical with decent graphics/engine.
