The words 'spam' and/or 'IMDb' come to mind somehow. Maybe they're linked.

How do you even call yourself a "true" alien fan? A true fan knows they are best the way they are released, but you could argue alien and aliens but whatever.

There is no such thing as a true fan. There is just different scopes of "Elitist" fans who assume the version they choose to admire is the best and everything else is blasphemous and you should be burnt at the stake for disagreeing.
Or is that Hardcore Christianity/Extremest Islam? Well they seem to be interchangeable in this instance.

I also think we have a Troll on our hands here ladies.

Don't feed the troll.

I never knew Alien was based on a comic ...

Okay, ignoring the troll! I'm psyched to wake up and find new Alien prequel news.

Mr. true real alien fans -

Thank you for your insight.  You truly have a dizzying intellect.  And your mastery of the English language is equally transient.

language is a dumb thing to worry about

As you have so eloquently demonstrated.

this is a travesty this movie sounds horrible i have long been involved in a following of thousands and we are all pissed!!!

Thousands?  All from the greater Massachusetts area I presume.  I also presume that you are the leader of The Following?  I mean, you are speaking on their behalf right now - so, you are either the leader or the spokesperson.  As such you'd be able to offer some semblance of substantiation to your claim? Correct?  That'd be pretty easy for you.  Right?

You know - I'm very much against this project as well, and I've never heard of your organization (admittedly it's likely because I don't live in Massachusetts, but in the age of the internet that means little, right?), but I'd like to join.  What do I have to do?  Are there any dues.  Are there meetings?  And I'd like to take part in the "public dimonstrations"  Not really sure what that is... perhaps a public gathering in support of JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon, or something, but I'm sure I'll figure all of that out once I'm part of The Following.  ...Is there a dress code?

Quote
i will be marching on the thearters and on the homes of scott, fox exectuives and the studios i have already been filling out the ap[plication for public dimonstrations and have several sites and in person groups in my following

So what theaters are we marching on?  Are they in the greater Holyoke area, or are we going out to LA and really making a scene?  And The Following is going to Scott's home? Really? Wow!  That's great! ...If I go can I get his autograph?  ...Wait... doesn't he live on the other side of the world from the Fox Executives?  How is The Following managing the airfare and lodging costs of traveling around the world to march on various homes?  Oh... wait... I bet this is all covered by membership dues, right?  Or did The Following have fund raisers?  Bake sale, car washes, action figure auctions, public mini book readings... right?

And you've secured sites for public "dimonstrations"?  (You're really going to have to fill me in on what that is at the first meeting)  That's awesome!  I had no idea that a minor could apply and secure times and locations for public gatherings.  Did your parents have to co-sign?  And I hope they did a spell check for you before you submitted any paperwork.

lets face it we know there are several species even in the movies ... queen, face hugger, dog alien, snake alien, warrior alien, scorpion alien... so why not give us what we want

Not to nit-pick, or anything, but the alien is a single species, with different stages of development.  The facehugger is not a separate species, or even an ssp, of the adult.  And what films elude to the presence of a Snake Alien or Scorpion Alien?  Those are the creations of Hasbro - tie-ins to a 1992 Saturday morning cartoon that never happened: "Operation: ALIENS".  A cartoon that never made it past the preliminary stages.  The pilot was never aired... possibly never even finished.  But it left boat loads of merchandise in it's wake.

And who wants to see Bull Aliens, Mantis Aliens, Crab Aliens, King Aliens, Gorilla Aliens flopping around the big screen?  Not me?  ...Perhaps I don't want to be a part of The Following if this is the direction you feel the films should have taken, or should be taking.

actuallly yes the comics and books were released 3 years before the movies and the yoys and their minibooks rrreleased throughout... the third was better than the first foor sure and like i said that was only good to bring us in for the second

ALIEN was released 1979.  Heavy Metal put out a comic adaptation the same year.  Kenner released it's famous 18" action figure the fall/winter of that year as well. There were novelizations (junior and standard), as well as a photo novel.

ALIENS was released in 1986 - no action figure tie-ins.  No direct comic adaptations (SiL and SM please step in if I am wrong on that).  We did get a novelization published the same year.

ALIENS Comics are first published in 1988 - loosely based on the events of ALIENS, but rely more heavily on concepts of an Expanded Universe than anything we saw in the film.  The comics actually do very well and start an ongoing list of publications that span nearly 2 decades - including spin-offs and cross overs.

ALIEN3 was released in 1992 - This had a comic book adaptation, and trading cards, but no action figures.  But we did see Halcyon models. We also had a novelization published the same year as well as an audio book on cassette. We also see the first of the Dark Horse ALIENS novels published in this year (ALIENS: Earth Hive: Book I).  The following 2 books were published in 1993. Additional Dark Horse Comics were re-written as novels following the success of this series - with novels being published as currently as 2008. Some even being original publications and not having any comic tie-ins. We also saw release of  OPERATION: ALIENS in 1992 - a line of action figures, mini comics, and accessories released as a tie in to a cartoon anticipated for fall release, but never got off the ground.  The characters and events were loosely based on ALIENS.

ALIEN RESURRECTION  was released in 1997.  It had a comic book adaptation, action figures, novelization (junior and standard), script books, and so forth.

...yes I'm omitting a great deal of merchandise in the above list.  I'm just trying to stick to the points given in Mr. true alien fans' post.

The moment I saw his username on the who's online-list I knew he was a troll. Was going to inform you guys but I figured he'd make his presence known soon enough.

And I agree with Valaquen; he reeks of IMDb.

Don't you just love it when a painfully obvious troll visits the forum, makes a complete douche out of himself, only to be utterly owned by a more sophisticated user?

I know I do.
