Here's a rare, original screen test that will be featured on the upcoming ALIEN ANTHOLOGY Blu-Ray Set with Sigourney Weaver auditioning for the role that would make her a world-wide star: Lt. Ellen Ripley - for the original 1979 ALIEN movie (via Fox Deutschland). - Jay

I guess this won't be new to me. It was on the Alien Saga DVD as an extra.

Yep... when I was reviewing and suggesting new material for prospective inclusion when working on the ALIEN ANTHOLOGY Blu-Ray set (including material of my own).... I saw several screen test elements that have never been put on video too, with additional takes of this version. - Jay

Any hints on actual Alien footage that has never been seen before? Like the deleted box scene?

Oh, some of this is new? I didn't even watch it until just now for some reason, I guess I assumed it was the same footage. The stuff with this dude as Dallas looks new to me...

I saw several outtakes of the ALIEN "itself" from the first film -- and they were all striking to behold... "in a perfect world" -- all of these outtakes would be released: for ALIEN and cinema lovers, it'd definitely be ideal... only a select amount of never before seen outtakes made it to this release, but they are cool nonetheless... In viewing all of that footage -- I never saw the "boxed" version of the ALIEN that was featured in the Heavy Metal graphic novel adaption of the first ALIEN film... though I dig that moment in that adaption...! - Jay

It's too bad that the 3 hour cut that was initially shown before it was released wouldn't get released as part of the set. I would love to see something like that.
