"My Queen is pleased..." -- me holding up the limited edition, Sideshow Alien Egg case for the ALIEN ANTHOLOGY Blu-Ray set that I was a creative consultant for: contributing ideas and materials for the new bonus extra content... & also reviewed many rare video archival materials for inclusion. My life-size Queen Alien and Alien Warrior are making this "new" Alien Egg feel right at home in the hive... - Jay

I'd love to, but as with me ordering the Blade Runner 5 disker a couple of years back the courier has fucked up and I'm AA-less. If it hadn't have been for the half term I'd have just gone into town to get it but dragging my kids along would've been a pain in the ass so I trusted Amazon... Never again!

I am debating wether to get my Dad this for his Christmas, if he has a Blu-Ray player I will. Though, I didn't get him a 50th birtday present, so I suppose I could count this to it.

Ordering from Amazon UK it's $30 cheaper! Same content! Regions A, B, C.
Also, since it's being released today in the US. Buy the Back to the Future Collector's Tin from Amazon UK! It's $68. The Back to the Future UK edition has better packaging and more content than the US release! Region free.

[btw, that Warrior bust looks like the one from the Alien 3 premiere, Cameron head with Giger body, though it should be noted that though the Warrior stunt puppets had extra ribs, the stunt suits did not]. Love the Anthology. I never bought the Quad because I detest Alien 4, but the Anthology had too much on it to pass up. Alien has never felt nor sounded so damn glorious.

Went back to Wal-mart just now, still not there. They had BTTF, but I didn't want to pull the trigger before reading a review. So I came home, did so, and ordered The Alien Anthology and Back to the Future Trilogy from Amazon. Set me back about 160 bucks (I had to get two-day shipping, really wanted to get them for the weekend). Amazon claims I'll get the order thursday. This is the first time I think I got two-day shipping from there.

Holy God! I'm just now taking a look at disc 6 and checking out the new material for Aliens. I'm almost speechless, so at least I can type my reaction on here.
I'm watching the entire bio video for the Nostromo crew members. There are Remarks for each of them, I had to pause on Parker's and post here!
There's a mention of Dramox-222, some kind of intelligence boosing drug. What the hell is Dramox-222!? This is amazing! This is exactly the kind of stuff I find fascinating! I watched deleted scenes for Aliens no one's ever seen before! I watched the helmet cam videos! I watched videos of the film's graphics and noticed for the first time that Hudson's name doesn't appear on that roster that shows up when the Sulaco is first shown!
I'm so excited, I feel like I've never watched special features for these films before!
EDIT:
Fuck me, this bio video lists everyone's first names. Unless I missed something, I'm not sure if they've ever actually been known.
EDIT 2:
Lambert's gender was altered at birth!?

The Nostromo crew's bios was on the Alien 20th Anniversary disc as an Easter egg. According to DigitalBits that's what on the new release. Although I never noticed the Lambert fact. Going to check right now... EDIT: Looks like the new stuff is different. Can't wait to check out.
