After playing AvP, I think there's alot they could've expanded on. For one, make the campaigns longer. In a few hours, each one could be completed. I would definately like a sequel however, but one that isn't released too early and actually has MORE to it. What do you guys think? Should SEGA and Rebellion make another AvP Game?

Yeah I do actually, the game itself graphically was very good. The game had a somewhat flawed melee system, but every species could dominate in the right circumstance. So they did it all with no beta or anything to get further information from players or anything. But a sequel would be good cause then they can improve what they have a make it more interesting. But thats just my thoughts...

Can this wait? I need to do some calibrations

I'd buy the game, while this one was not as good as it could/should of been. It could be expanded upon and made a hell of a lot better.

I'd buy it if they weren't so lazy in the development process as they clearly were with this game. There are just so many blaringly bad things going on here that would've been a quick fix in my opinion. But yes, graphically it is very good.

From the ending of the Marine campaign, it's obvious that Rebellion were angling for a sequel, apparently set on the xenomorph homeworld. This sounds extremely ambitious, and would need a fair few years of development work. I'd welcome such an idea - if it's done right. Maybe the xenos and predators aren't the only alien antagonists in such a story. They should get Giger in to design the homeworld and its biota; it'd be like a Giger painting come to life, a living nightmare.
They probably won't do it though, especially if Scott goes ahead with the awful and simplistic (IMHO) 'bioweapon' idea for the aliens' origin.

Depends on your viewpoint. Sure the game is not perfect and it is flawed, but if you can get around that crap, Its a semi enjoyable game with good graphics and gore. I've certainly played worse.

I've played worse too, but if there are better games out there than AvP, then why play it anyway? When I got home from Afghanistan, the three 360 games I had waiting for me when I went home for leave were Aliens vs. Predator, Red Dead Redemption, and Mass Effect 2. I played one of them, then went to Mass Effect 2 and beat it in about two weeks, then went to Red Dead Redemption. There was almost no reason for me to play AvP (back in August/September) when I had two fantastic games in front of me.
Sure, it may be simply just mediocre...but that doesn't justify it. There's so much time and effort put into these games that they have no excuse for them to be bad, and therefore I don't cut it any slack. It's one of the least satisfying experiences I've ever had in ANY game EVER, and that's in stark contrast to both AvP and AvP 2 on PC.

I totally agree with you, but I bought it on impulse with it in mind that Rebellion wouldnt let me down, to a point they certainly did. But I still dont hate it. I enjoy the good things in it. I think they pulled off a better predalien than AVPR (thats not hard), the story could of been much worse too but again I didnt mind. I just tend to ignore the flaws when I just dumped $60 on this ya know?

I'm not the kind of person that let's myself get into a state of denial.
The PredAlien may have looked cool...for a 5 minute LAME boss fight.
Not to mention that playing as the Alien (my favorite character in the previous games) was the biggest letdown of the decade. So, you're telling me I can't just headbite someone unless they're already dead, otherwise I do some lame ass stealth kill that may or may not randomly select a headbite as the attack. Even a headbite isn't satisfying because it's horribly executed. No crunch, no bones or guts bursting out. I was hoping the next generation would have been fully exploited here, but it just wasn't.

I dont think I'm in denial simply because I can overlook flaws while you simply home in on them and exploit them further. All I like about the predalien was the look and its intro, yes the fight was extremley lame, yes I wish there was no animation for a headbite. I'm in your boat; we're fighting for the same cause here. But I hope they do make a more succesful sequel to it, thats better polished fighting wise, and story wise, and everything else wise. But people just cant make games like AVP2 or 1 anymore IMO

while you simply home in on them and exploit them further. I don't even need to; they're pretty blatant, just ask any gamer. But people just cant make games like AVP2 or 1 anymore IMO That's the biggest cop-out attitude I've ever heard. So, because you don't believe anyone has it in them anymore, you're just going to lower your standards altogether? We haven't been doing that with the films, so why do it with the games which take just as much effort to produce?

Lets put it this way. If I lower my expectations on the game which I did. I got a better appreciation for the game. By not expecting it to be half the game of AVP2, which I think is fair to say it is, or lower idk, but I didnt hate the game for it.I also did it with the movies, after the first AVP.So I lowered my expectations on #2, and well I dont really think that could even help that movie...

I enjoyed the game and gave it a 7.8 on IGN. I loved the marine and Predator mode, the Alien was ok, but the end of the game suggests a sequel on the homeplanet which in a game I would love but not in a film, so hell yeah bring on the sequel.
