I shall now buy ALIEN on Blu-Ray just to see if I can find a "FUCK U GILER" screen like in Dark Star.

Anyone heard anything about Woodruff? Also, I am just happy that Ridley and Giger are back, I am sure 'something' about the film will return to its roots.

I'm sitting here watching Darkstar again for I dont know, the millionth time? And you know what just occurred to me? Dan is great in this movie. Probably because he's pretty much playing himself. And I'm sitting here watching him annoy all the other guys on the ship and say to myself, that looks an awful lot like all those stories we heard about him on the Alien set! He cares about his job, but he's annoying the other astronauts. He's too emotional and throws tantrums. But he's also the guy with the most passion and enthusiasm about the situation. He's the one who wants to name the stars. He wants to fix up the living quarters. He gets a mascot for the ship to encourage everyone else to give a damn. He gets in a fight with a bigger crew member when he is convinced that that person is making a bad decision. And he pisses people off with his attempts at humor. That pretty much how people described O'Bannon working on Alien wasn't it? I just thought it was funny. "Anyone heard anything about Woodruff? "Who the guy from alienS? What does he have to do with anything? "I shall now buy ALIEN on Blu-Ray just to see if I can find a "FUCK U GILER" screen like in Dark Star."I'd also like to know where the remnants of the joke appear.

A long time ago now I mt Linnea Quigley, and asked her what it was like working with Dan. She said something along the lines of him being a perfectionist bordering on the obsessional, "he was always messing around with the positions of the toadstools on set!" I'd also like to know where the remnants of the joke appear.
As far as I can recall, it's on one of the monitors in the galley around the point of the Brett 'right' speech.

"As far as I can recall, it's on one of the monitors in the galley around the point of the Brett 'right' speech." Took a look at that scene on my DVD, is that last word at the Bottom next to his collar a G-I-L-E-R? Unfortunately my DVD is an SL no less so its kind of a blob. Maybe somebody with a higher rez Blueray can try putting it through ECIU.
