Which is equally asinine, especially since you're saying it through a fucking computer. It's the old saying: "They can put a man on a moon, but..." ...we still have taxes!

Taxes didn't send a man to the moon.

No, but it certainly helped pay for him to get to the moon.

And then paid for the several later attempts to repeat the effort.

It'd be more interesting on a philosophy forum.
Hm, now that you mention it.... Maybe we could start a new board like that. Although something tells me a discussion on philosophy will quickly turn to science or politics...

Where do taxes come from? And then paid for the several later attempts to repeat the effort.
Were you born in a public hospital, SiL? I guess then you owe your life to taxes.

Hurray for Socialized Medicine!
Taxes pay for everything the government does, including sending people to the moon.

I guess then you owe your life to taxes. I'm sure I could have been born without them.

I know that. You didn't answer the question. Where do taxes come from? They don't come from the government. I'm sure I could have been born without them.
I'm sure they could also send someone to the moon without them. ...if they really did send someone to the moon...

I know that. You didn't answer the question. Where do taxes come from? They don't come from the government. That was the question? I thought you were just questioning whether taxes sent people to the moon. And they come from us, the people with jobs. I'm confused, who hates taxes and who is alright with them? It seems you guys are switching perspectives every 5 seconds.
