So...what I am looking at is essentially the pyramid from AVP. Those glyphs look so generic, Stargate SG-1 had better alien languages (Ancient) than that. Hopefully the rest of the design aesthetic of the movie won't be so unimaginatively derivative.
But still, nice find. And complaints or no complaints, it's nice to see some photographic evidence of the movie. Unless these are fake.
I find it funny that they are watermarked. So when Fox has them taken down, and duplicates start showing up everywhere, they can all be traced back to that original site. Smart move.

I'm just hoping that they're not really supposed to be ancient/alien hieroglyphs. But if they turn up in crop circles next week, that's another matter. But they look to me as if they're half inspired by photos and drawings of the Roswell hieroglyphs

The symbols are composed of wedge-shaped markings which look to me like cuneiform. But the symbols themselves don't match the cuneiform alphabet.

Definite similarity with between cuneiform and some of the characters, Well you never know, this scene might be so dimly lit that it wont be so noticeable what's written as a possible unknown language

You're telling me. Can't wait to see the set in the dark, with a bunch of characters trawling through 'em.

The hieroglyphics look so generic I could almost translate them. It would be nice if they were more Gigeresque.

I agree with that. Something along the lines of the glyphs in Giger's Alien life-cycle painting would be really off the hook.

Maybe they are set up to mislead all those e-nitpickers into thinking one thing, but only to discover ( in the theatre seat ) that it is not as such, and to suprise the shit outta us!
One of them ole' switch-a-roonies!
