Getting really excited about baseball season... specifically the Jays. I think they've really improved their team, even over last year, and with an extra wild card slot it's the best chance of a play-off birth in years! Go Jays!

I'll pass on the bat but I'm pretty happy about having a veteran presence in the club house.

I was actually disappointed to see him go. He seems like a really good guy actually. For having played baseball forever and having a fortune, there was a shot of him sweeping the dugout during a rained out game last year. I was kind of surprised, I thought they had people for that.

It'll be nice to see what Theo can do with my Cubbie's.

Kinda surprised you're not a Cardinals fan. You must be surrounded by them down there. Shit, I'm surrounded by them and I live closer to Chicago than St. Louis.

Yeah. Saint Louis is about an hour away, which is why I despise it. The most phoney of fans.

My hometown is split between Cubs and Cardinals. The Cardinals fans are bandwagon fans all the way. I'd say pretty much all of those Cardinals fans are also Packers fans, as opposed to Bears.
If they were really St. Louis fans or Wisconsin fans as opposed to just "good team" fans, they'd also like the Rams and the Brewers. No dice. It pisses me off, but what can I say, I've got plenty of friends that fall into these categories.

Mark my words, Bills make the playoffs this coming season. And fuck the Cards, they had no business even being in the post-season.

I like that thought. I have been a Bill's fan since I was 5 years old. Been to Buffalo several times, my father had some family there... 9 and 7 would be a huge step up from thier past few seasons. Hard to swallow them only winning 6 games this past season after the way they started. Play off'smight be a stretch, the AFC is hard to get ahold of wild cards in. But... it'll be fun to watch.

I had a playoff basketball game of my own that night but I caught the end of the game at Boston Pizza during our year end team meal. Typical Raptors game where they stayed close long enough to make you think they may threaten to win but ended up with the wheels falling off as usual.

Thought I'd pop in to brag about starter Phil Humber throwing his perfect game yesterday. Very exited about the season possibilities already so few games in. The White Sox season start this year is miles better than last year. And Adam Dunn is actually hitting baseballs.

Yeah, good for Humber, I don't care who you are, that's a feat.
Pretty pleased about the Jays start to the season, nothing helps a losing streak like playing the Royals! They need to learn how to beat teams from the AL East, though. All-in-all really have high hopes for them this year!
P.S. Brett Lawrie's a stud. The kid can play. With his bat and hussle on the base paths (stole home the other night) and his improved defence, he's an all-star in the making. Oh yeah, and his sister is fucking hawt!
