As dude should have warned skip ahead to somewhere around 6:45 to miss all the wank about Shakespeare, blah, blah, blah, and hear the bits about Prometheus.

I thought about it. But that's pretty disrespectful to the actor, so I decided against it.

Not really, the audience here is probably only interested hearing the Prometheus stuff anyway. Anyway, I was half joking, just wanted to get a jab in there. You know I love you dude!

While talking to Speakeasy, director Ridley Scott has hinted which direction his latest story is headed in that Prometheus centers on a higher being being punished by the gods in being denied "fire."
"Fire is our first form of technology," Scott says. "By taking it away the higher being is punished "in perpetuity in a horrible fashion."
It seems to be connected to the old mythological tale in that the god Prometheus stole fire from Zeus and for his actions was bound to a rock with an eagle eternally devouring his liver.
So how does this connect to the Alien series? Well---with a big spoiler warning included----the director confirms to the website that the last eight minutes of the film evolves into a pretty good DNA of the Alien one.
Sooo... sort of a prequel. But not really. Kind of. Not.
