Yeah, that's what they are! Plus what appear to be human thumbs at either side. My beef with it is that they just seem tacked on after the fact, rather than an integral part of the mask, making it look kinda cheap. Would have been nicer if ADI had designed a completely new mask incorporating bones, maybe pieces of various skulls from a variety of extraterrestrial lifeforms. Oh well...
