Yeah, but CBW was founder of Weyland Industries, rather than Weyland Corp.

'Industries' and 'Corp' are interchangeable.

But Weyland Industries only appears in AVP.

No need to use the WI name unless you're deliberately referencing AVP, or (as Necronom IV pointed out) the weylandcorp domain name has already been nabbed by someone else and marketing are having to adapt accordingly. I'd opt for the latter as the more likely route.

I think at this stage there's sufficient vagueness to argue that CBW was the founder of Weyland Ind in the 20th Century. PW founded Weyland Corp in the 2020s, which then incorporated Weyland Industries, at which point the names were used interchangeably. Hopefully marketing will at some point state that Peter's the founder of Weyland Industries as well!

And someone could even argue that Peter Weyland's 'dynamic breakthroughs in generating synthetic atmosphere above the polar ice cap that gained him worldwide recognition and spawned an empire' resulted from the acquisition of remaining Predator technology around thr Antarctic region. 

Far better to have left the WI name well alone, as well as that polar region reference!
