Yeah, I can't be the only one who finds that completely ridiculous. Also I'm pretty sure the new Batman movie is the most anticipated movie of the year, according to the masses.

Hadn't thought of that, but yeah - sounds pretty silly. The hordes are fairly slavering over it at AvPG though.

According to some Twitter thing when the Prometheus, TDKR and Hobbit trailers all got released last ecember in the same week, Prometheus got the most buzz and generated the most interest.

Really? I would like to know what twitter thing. It'd be rather surprising if it were so. Generally, I got the impression that The Hobbit might very well be the most anticipated thing this year. Though that might be just the impression I get from the circles I am moving in. My personal belief would be that the biggest fanbase would be that of The Hobbit, the most anticipated by "general masses" would be the Batman and Prometheus would be somewhere on the bottom. Because, seriously, what is there? It is not even an Alien film. And nobody knows what it is about. Even of those "average people" who consider Alien one of the coolest movies of the century but are not hardcore fans, 90% don't have any idea what Space Jockey is. That said, of course one might be interested in Prometheus just for the sake of it, as a "plainly new" movie. That is, after all, what Scott wanted, apparently. But I have hard time imagining how it would be brought to their attention enough to make them interested... of course, though, as a person who does not generally follow upcoming films unless they are Alien or having my favourite actors or something, I am probably not a good judge of that...

I think all that really says is Prometheus fans are heavy Twitter users.
I'd put Hobbit and Batman hype over Prometheus.

I'd say that Prometheus has the largest crowd of reasonable, tasteful people anticipating it. Hobbit would be second.
I'm not saying I don't want to see Batman 3, but that's definitely got the largest group of all out trolls waiting under the bridge in anticipation.

What a phrasing! I'd say that Prometheus has the largest crowd of reasonable, tasteful people anticipating it. Hobbit would be second. And similarly, the other way around with the people who are really interested in the subject but are anticipating the new addittion with dread. Hobbit will have fair amount of those, while when it comes to Prometheus, there won't be many Alien fans fearing that it will become something bad from what I have seen this far. I got the picture that e.g. everyone around here views it as something rather positive and awaits with anticipation (probably has a lot to do with the lack of Alien presence etc).

Nice find!
Isn't it a bit short for a Jockey? Might it be one of those transformed humans?

I suppose that would be correct. Only today did I learn that there's mutated/zombie/physically transformed crew members in the film. Not exactly sure what to think of that. I'd say it's the jumping guy from the teaser. The reason I did assume Space Jockey is because of the costumes in the background of this photo;

Yeah, the costumes are way bigger than humans.
But I suspect that humans are being transformed into Jockey-likes by the goop.

What do you suppose about the blue muzzle flash on the gun in the background? Laser?

Lens flare type thing? In the other trailer, at 0:41, it looks like the guns they shoot produce standard looking muzzle flashes.
