Things had been moving pretty quietly on the Prometheus sequel's development, aside from rumblings that writers where struggling to crack the story, but that doesn't appear to be the case any more.
Variety reports that Jack Paglen has signed on to script the sequel. Prometheus 2 (Or Paradise as it may come to be known) will be Paglen's second feature film, following next April's sci-fi epic Transcendence which will star Johnny Depp and is produced by Christopher Nolan.
It's also worth noting, according to that article, Ridley Scott has yet to commit to the film as director, but is currently working on it as a producer.

Noomi Rapace Says Prometheus 2 is Being 'Worked On'
Posted February 26, 2013, 11:00:28 PM by dude
Currently doing press for thriller Dead Man Down, Noomi Rapace spoke to the guys at The Playlist about her involvement and the progress they're making.
"They're working on the script. I met Ridley in London a couple of weeks ago. I would love to work with him again and I know that he would like to do another one. It's just like we need to find the right story. I hope we will."
"And for me, if we do a second one, there are a lot of things to explore in there and to continue."
When asked who 'They' are, Rapace declined to answer.
Thanks to The Playlist.

Win a Copy of Aliens: Colonial Marines!
Posted February 20, 2013, 07:43:00 PM by BlackWatch
Stop your grinnin' and drop your linen! We are teaming up with SEGA to give away two copies of the Xbox 360 version of Aliens: Colonial Marines!

Additionally, we are also giving away two copies of the Eagle Transporter ARMAT M41A Pulse Rifle poster that was released, and sold out, several years ago. I've been holding onto these copies for just such an occasion and will be mailing them out to two other lucky winners.
So, if you want to win a copy of Aliens: Colonial Marines for Xbox 360 (NTSC version only) or a very cool Pulse Rifle poster, simply post "Ooorah!" in the thread below. The contest will run from now until March 6th at 8:00pm ET at which point I will randomly pick four winners from those members who have posted in this thread. Good luck! And many thanks to Clumsyorchid, community manager, over at the SEGA forums for his help with this.

William H. Macy apparently auditioned for Alien: Ressurection
Posted February 12, 2013, 09:50:04 PM by beckmen
William H. Macy shared a story on Conan February 4th, 2013 about him blowing the audition for "an Alien movie directed by a French guy" (paraphrasing here). Based on the details of the story it can be assumed that the movie was Alien: Resurrection and the role was that of Dr. Gediman.
Not sure if this had ever been discussed prior to his appearance on Conan, but I don't recall it. An interesting alternate reality to imagine.

The 1986 science-fiction classic that drove the Alien franchise to new heights will receive Minimates and Minimate vehicles, as well as electronic vehicles of the Colonial Marines' military transports.

I personally despise the Minimates lines, but if the prices are not too awful I might pick up the electronic vehicles. The Sulaco would look mighty fine hanging from my ceiling.
